Speed Rankings – Jan 2019 to Dec 2019

Congratulations goes out to Kinsta as held onto the title of fastest host in 2019. Kinsta dominated the testing from USA, Canada & UK servers, while Flywheel took the honors from India & Australia servers.

Following the addition of premium hosts, I was very curious to see how our best budget hosts from the last 3 years would perform in comparison. While its true that Lightning Base & SiteGround are slowest, they are relatively close to 1 of the premium hosts (WP Engine), which is very impressive indeed.

What is even more interesting is the performance across Weeks 6 to 10, Weeks 16 to 20, Week 26 to 30, Week 36 to 40 and Week 46 to 50 when WP Rocket is added. SiteGround was actually faster than WP Engine across all timeframes – an impressive performance boost thanks to WP Rocket!!
