Uptime Test – Week 180 Summary Table

Our hosts have recorded a perfect performance this week, with all 6 hosts achieving the ultimate goal of 100% Uptime (all 6 hosts also achieved 100% in Week 179):

  1. Lightning Base
  2. WP Engine
  3. Pressidium
  4. SiteGround
  5. Kinsta
  6. Flywheel

This week’s best performer in Asia Pacific is Lightning Base, combining a perfect uptime with the fastest average response time of 573ms.

We have now completed 40 weeks of testing with our 4 new premium hosts. This marks the 10th and final week that we’ve tested from Indian based host servers, and the 5th week that plugin caching support of WP Rocket has been turned on.

Lightning Base is the star performer of this week, with a response time that is comfortably faster than all other hosts. To make this performance even more impressive, is the fact that Lightning Base is a budget host. The only other budget host is SiteGround, and they too have performed quite well. They biggest accomplishment is they have experienced the largest speed improvement thanks to the addition of WP Rocket. In Week 175 without WP Rocket, SiteGround’s response time was 1,390ms, while this week it has significantly stepped it up to 844ms.

For next week’s test, I will change up the Server Location from India to Australia, while the test location will change from Asia Pacific to North America. Can our budget hosts of SiteGround & Lightning Base continue to perform well, or will our premiums come firing back?
