Uptime Test – Week 179 Summary Table

Our hosts have recorded a perfect performance this week, with all 6 hosts achieving the ultimate goal of 100% Uptime (all 6 hosts also achieved 100% in Week 178):

  1. Flywheel
  2. WP Engine
  3. Lightning Base
  4. Pressidium
  5. SiteGround
  6. Kinsta

This week’s best performer in North America is Flywheel, combining a perfect uptime with the fastest average response time of 503ms.

We have now completed 39 weeks of testing with our 4 new premium hosts. This marks the 9th week that we’ve tested from Indian based host servers, and the 4th week that plugin caching support of WP Rocket has been turned on.

Flywheel is the star performer of this week, with a response time that is comfortably faster than all other hosts. The other budget host worth highlighting is SiteGround, who has experienced the largest speed improvement thanks to the addition of WP Rocket. In Week 174 without WP Rocket, SiteGround’s response time was 1,880ms, while this week it has significantly stepped it up to 1,060ms.

For next week’s test, I will change up the test location from North America to Asia Pacific. Can Flywheel maintain their dominance and will SiteGround continue to improve its speed thanks to WP Rocket?
