Uptime Test – Week 185 Summary Table

Our hosts have recorded an impressive performance this week, with 5 hosts achieving the ultimate goal of 100% Uptime (4 hosts achieved 100% in Week 184):

  1. Pressidium
  2. Lightning Base
  3. Kinsta
  4. Flywheel
  5. SiteGround

This week’s best performer in Asia Pacific is Pressidium, combining a perfect uptime with the fastest average response time of 691ms.

We have now completed 45 weeks of testing with our 4 new premium hosts. This marks the 5th week that we’ve tested from Australian based host servers, with plugin caching support turned off.

After Flywheel dominated the first 2 weeks, Lightning Base has been the star performer the last 2 weeks. This week its Pressidium leading the way, just ahead of Lightning Base.

At the other end of the spectrum, WP Engine experienced a significant outage of 29 minutes this week. This is uncharacteristic of them, as throughout 2019, WP Engine have only had 13 minutes of downtime.

For next week’s test, I will change up the test location from Asia Pacific to North America, plus will add WP Rocket to each of our sites. Can WP Engine return to their reliable ways and will SiteGround experience the usual speed improvement with WP Rocket turned on?
