SPeed Test – Week 185 Summary Table
The fastest host this week in Sydney is Kinsta with a blistering time of 1.01s.
With our 4 new premium hosts on board in 2019, Kinsta dominated early with fastest load time across 4 of the first 5 weeks of testing. Then Flywheel took over, claiming the fastest host honors in 4 of the next 5 weeks.
When we changed the host’s server location from USA to Canada, Flywheel & Kinsta continued to perform well. Kinsta recorded the fastest average speed across 5 weeks, while Flywheel was fastest 3 times.
With the server location set in the UK, Kinsta once again was the most impressive, recording the fastest load time 5 out of the 10 weeks.
And the 10 weeks of testing from Indian servers resulted in Flywheel & Pressidium performing the best, with Flywheel being the fastest across 5 weeks and Pressidium 3 weeks.
This week marks the 5th that we’re testing from Australia without any caching support. Across the first 4 weeks, it was Pressidium that found itself on top of the speed rankings. This week most hosts performed exceptionally well, with Kinsta just taking the honors.
The most disappointing result came from SiteGround, who have typically struggled without the assistance of WP Rocket. I am sure they are keen to get WP Rocket added next week.
For next week’s test, I will change up the test location Sydney to Dallas, plus the addition of WP Rocket for all sites. I am most interested to see if SiteGround will repeat history, and start competing with the help of WP Rocket?
And this Week’s Winner is…
