Speed Test – Week 114 Summary Table
The fastest host this week is InMotion Hosting with a time of 1.14s, which is fairly close to the all time Dallas record of 0.78s, which was set by SiteGround in Week 78.
On our last visit to Dallas (with Comet Cache on board in Week 111), the average load time for our 8 hosts was 1.18s. This week with WP Fastest Cache, the average load time was off the charts slower at 3.30s.
After seeing such poor results, I’ve closely reviewed what could be causing these slow speeds. I have turned off some of the WP Fastest Cache settings in the hope that these were causing clashes and leading to unnecessarily slow speeds.
This is the first week of the WP Fastest Cache Speed Study, and the early signs are not looking good for WP Fastest Cache.
Next week we’ll switch up our testing location to London. Let’s find out if WP Fastest Cache can turn things around with the potentially clashing settings now turned off?
