Speed Test – Week 149 Summary Table
The fastest host this week in Vancouver is Flywheel with a time of 1.04s.
With our 4 new premium hosts on board in 2019, Kinsta dominated early with fastest load time across 4 of the first 5 weeks of testing. More recently we have seen a shift with Flywheel dominating the speed rankings. They have claimed the fastest host honors in 3 of the last 4 weeks.
The other element we’re wanting to check is the influence WP Rocket has had on our hosts. If we look back to Week 144 results (where the same test was conducted from Vancouver, just without WP Rocket), the constant theme is how well Flywheel continues to perform. The biggest improvement has come from Lightning Base, Kinsta & SiteGround.
I am particularly impressed with how well our budget hosts of SiteGround & Lightning Base have fared this week – they’re totally mixing it with our premium hosts with the help of WP Rocket!!
For next week’s test, I will change up our testing location to Sydney as we continue with WP Rocket comparisons. I wonder whether SiteGround & Lightning Base will be able to stay with our premium hosts Down Under?
