Speed Test – Week 150 Summary Table
The fastest host this week in Sydney is Kinsta with a very impressive time of 2.09s.
With our 4 new premium hosts on board in 2019, Kinsta dominated early with fastest load time across 4 of the first 5 weeks of testing. More recently we have seen a shift with Flywheel dominating the speed rankings. They have claimed the fastest host honors in 3 of the last 4 weeks.
The other element we’re wanting to check is the influence WP Rocket has had on our hosts. If we look back to Week 145 results (where the same test was conducted from Sydney, just without WP Rocket), the constant theme is how well Kinsta continues to perform. The biggest improvement has come from Lightning Base & SiteGround, while it is clear that Pressidium isn’t a fan of Australia.
I am once again impressed with how well our budget hosts of SiteGround & Lightning Base have fared this week – they’ve even managed to outperform 2 of our premium hosts with the help of WP Rocket!!
For next week’s test, I will change up our host’s server location to Canada and restart the testing sequence from Dallas. I wonder whether our hosts that offer a Canadian server will achieve a noticeable performance improvement?
