WP Fastest Cache has just been added, let’s check out which host is reaching peak speed this week in Vancouver?
Speed Test – Week 120 Method

- Use 8 Live Sites, each with a Different Host but with Identical Content (you can check them out here)
- Use GTmetrix Speed Test

Speed Test – Week 120 Summary Table
The fastest host this week is Lightning Base with a time of 1.01s, which is not far off the all time Vancouver record of 0.76s, which was set by Web Hosting Hub in Week 28.
On our last visit to Vancouver (with no caching plugins setup in Week 117), the average load time for our 8 hosts was 2.65s. This week with WP Fastest Cache now on board, the average load time was much faster at 1.61s (and 1.20s if GoDaddy is excluded).
This is the first week of the WP Fastest Cache Speed Study, and the early signs are pointing to an understandable speed boost off the back of adding WP Fastest Cache.
Next week we’ll be switching up our test location to São Paulo. I am very keen to see how much of a speed improvement is possible, as well as finding out which hosts will thrive?
And this Week’s Winner is…
After 2+ years of testing, let’s summarize all the results to see how our 8 hosts are performing overall. It will also allow us to find out which host is currently leading our speed challenge.
